About

Our Mission

The mission of the Colorado Federation is “to be an advocate for children, youth, and families impacted by mental health issues while striving to improve and strengthen related systems, programs, and policies across the state of Colorado.”

Our scope of work reflects a statewide focus on families who have children, youth and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance or mental disorders that are currently receiving services. We are dedicated to working with youth with a serious emotional, behavior or mental disorders and who are receiving transitional services.

Our values further reflect this; We value families’ ability to be critical front line advocates for their children; We value collaborative systems of care that reflect family-driven, family-focused service planning and delivery; We value systems that result in greater family empowerment and result in the development of new skills, knowledge and strengths; We value strong partnerships with allied organizations, groups and individuals; We value a strengths based approach to supporting families and; We value youth’s voices in service planning and delivery.
