The Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health~Colorado Chapter (FFCMH~CC) and JFSN have merged as of October 1, 2007. This merger provides great opportunities to strengthen and reunite our System of Care efforts through increased direct advocacy services in Jefferson County and other counties as we continue to grow.  We look forward to providing increased technical assistance to communities throughout Colorado.

The Federation is also happy to welcome Tracy Kraft-Tharp as our new Director of Policy and Development.  This new position will provide the Federation with increased opportunities for policy development at the state and local level.

The Advocacy Coalition

Colorado Federation of Families
Family Voices of Colorado
Family to Family Health Information Network
and EMPOWER Colorado
have teamed up in an effort to help more families.

This Coalition brings together three organizations with a shared mission, each with their own unique strengths and area of expertise.  Together we will work to provide a more comprehensive approach; a single point of entry to help you with the many different needs you have.

This represents nearly 100,000 of our children. (MHAC and FFCMHCC, 1999)

The Colorado Division of Youth Corrections estimated approximately 24% of the juveniles in its custody had a serious emotional disturbance and that nearly 67% had some form of mental health problem. (MHAC and FFCMHCC, 1999)

Over 60% of all young people with mental illness are not getting the treatment help they need. (AAWH, 2001)
